Delicious. com. Wow!

Delicious.com Wow! Using technology takes practice. I was browsing through on mye learning to ensure that I read all articles related to my course EDRL 6004 when I came upon a video on 'Social Bookmarking'. I viewed it once, twice, three times before I ventured into delicious.com. What can I say? I am hooked. This website is simply amazing. It can make the life of a Reading Specialist much easier in terms of accessing articles related to whatever topic you may be dealing with.
Delicious .com is a whole new world for me. It is like research made simple.I would recommend all of my other aspiring Reading Specialist colleagues to get on board as this site will be an asset to us not only in our classrooms but as an instrument to assist us in gathering needed literature for our upcoming research. This 'social bookmarking' is yet another useful tool which allows us and our students to share links and communicate with other global internet users

  1. At least you can share your experience on how you used a tool and can lend support about how effective it has been in helping you to do your assignment. I also heard about this site yesterday, and now that I have heard such great reviews, I will be signing up soon.

  2. Priscilla, I had the same reaction, "Wow!" when just like you, I was looking at the resources that our lecturer regularly places on myelearning and I came across the delicious facility. I immediately signed up and started bookmarking there ever since. My user name is hombresincero. You can add me to your network when you sign up, and you can share your user name with me. In this way, I can benefit from the interesting sites that you have bookmarked and vice versa. I am pleased with the many useful resources that our lecturer provides us with.

  3. When I saw the social bookmarking on the website I honestly did not check it out. I kept putting it off for later. I felt that it was similar to adding favourites to my website. However, after reading your blog it got me curious. I started to question myself as to whether or not I had the wrong impression of social bookmarking. I Googled them both and even Googled a comparison and realized that social bookmarking has a lot more benefits as it allows for others to share their sites with you. You can even add descriptions or comments. They even said that some businesses can use it as a form of free advertisement. A comment that popped up everywhere is how easy it was to use Del.icio.ou.com. I will definitely be joining and checking this out very soon and exploring all its possibilities. Teachers can really use this as a form of sharing information with other professionals in the field. Have you thought of how you can use it to aid professional development with your staff?
